The Philippines, yet again, lost a great leader last August 1, 2009. Former president Corazon Cojuangco Aquino succumbed to cardiopulmonary arrest after complications of colon cancer. I have may have not lived in her prominent years, yet I had great respect for her contribution to the country. Being Asia's first woman president, she initiated constitutional and law reform, enacted Agrarian Reform Law, and expelled several military coup attempts throughout her administration.
